Uranus in Taurus: What Lies Beneath Will Shoot Up and Grow
Uranus is leaving the bold and active Aries and is entering into stable, peaceful, indulgent Taurus. Uranus enters Taurus on May 15th and will stay there for about 8 years. Taurus is the sign of stability and keeping things on an even keel. Uranus is the planet of change, of rebellion, invention, and looking into the future. It can mean radical conformity. Yet, Taurus is also the sign of art, beauty, and the sensual, meaning changes in our material possessions and what we value as good is subject to change, too. See how this transit may affect your sign:
Aries: For Aries, this is a time of changing values, of both material things and the intangible, particularly skills and talents. You may decide to develop skills or talent, or to change your looks in order to meet a world that is changing. This may be out of a fear of being left in the past. Investments, particularly short-term ones, should not be entered into on whim, especially since commitments are likely to change against your will or your knowledge.
Taurus: It may feel as if the world has gone mad. This will go much more easily if you embrace the changes -- which may be difficult -- rather than fight them. Mostly, you will have to change how you interact with the world and how you present yourself. You may be surprised quite often when you discover you‘re not exactly the person you thought you were. You may not know who you are any more. Go find out who you are.
Gemini: You may not think you’re feeling any of the suddenness or chaos that Uranus brings into your life, but you’re manifesting it in ways others can see. You may feel as if you’re a damsel in distress, but no one is going to help you but you. Create the changes that you want in your own life, and stop for someone else to agree or to give you permission. Now is the time to be the hero of your own story.
Cancer: Things you may not have even dreamed for yourself may become possibilities, and it’s in your best interest to take these alternatives. The creature comfort aspirations you may have, give way to more lofty desires, particularly those you can share with other people. You may feel more charitable towards people who are different from yourself and want to make the world a more inclusive place in some way. If one can’t have peace, then no one can, and your needs are everyone else’s needs.
Leo: There may be some serious changes in your public status. Getting a new job or leaving one may be inevitable, but even if it feels like these things are happening to you, you’re actually manifesting your own restlessness and desire for something unique or tailored to your individuality. It may feel like now or never, and impulsive decisions may bind you to adapt because you get rid of your safety net. However, there’s never any ground to hit.
Virgo: Everything you think you know is wrong. Okay, maybe not all of it, all at once, but in the next eight years, you embark on a journey to figuring out what your philosophy or spiritual beliefs truly are. Do they jive what you were taught as child or what the people around you think? You want something all your own, based on your own experience and understanding of what is beautiful and loving, and you have to go find it.
Libra: Shifting alliances and friendships may happen. If you want to get anything done, you have to take the risks first. You may find that the ones you can truly rely on aren’t the ones you would have considered first. Are there assets you haven’t used, favors you haven’t called? While it may seem ideal to go at it alone, having faith and trust in others is, how you’ll make it, but don’t be afraid to end toxic relationships with unreliable people.
Scorpio: Your closest relationships may be rocked. Someone unusual may catch your eye, even if you would have never considered them before. Your sense of justice changes, and you may be much more willing to give generously to others and to especially let them have their own thoughts and ideas. Even if you consider yourself liberal now, you become more progressive and welcoming to those who are different from you, not just in theory, but also in your actual life.
Sagittarius: Perhaps the most obvious changes will be in your health and routine, but also in the way you go about things. You follow the beat of a different drum, and this is obvious to those around you. Don’t try to fit in where you can’t; it’s better to go at it alone if you can’t persuade others. They’ll believe you when they see results, so work on whatever weird things you want to manifest in material reality, and they’ll follow.
Capricorn: This is an eight-year stretch of rediscovering your self-expression, and to a certain extent, reinventing yourself. You may struggle at first, especially with the idea that you’re getting older, or that your parents may have been right about some things. Integrate this into your own unique brand of adulthood that doesn’t abandon youth, creativity, or self-expression, because you’ll have some interesting opportunities to explore these things, perhaps with the new friends or new lovers who suddenly show up.
Aquarius: You may feel shaken to the very core these next 8 years, as if everything you thought was yours is suddenly not. Secrets may be revealed. Families may change in fundamental ways through birth, death, restructuring, or reordering. Most importantly, you may discover something about your past that has affected you in ways you didn’t realize. You have the opportunity to face it and allow yourself to evolve into someone who is no longer bound by the past.
Pisces: This transit will make you want things to be brand new. You don’t want to deal with ideas or people that are traditional or stuck in the past. Rather, you’re focused on what is probable, but in a practical, real way, and you want to integrate these new things into your life. Technology will play a larger role in your every day life, or at least determining how much of it keeps you from encountering people in a real way.
